Also gets away without the "WE WANT YOUR MONEY"-shemes. Which is, what was most important to me when learning about it (and to make it quick: i hated all those 'text & picture'-only tutorials after learning the same things for 10 times over).

We agree! We pushed the publisher to try to get color, but no go. The PDF eBook is in color though...

Hi, this would be a great book, if printed in color. I absolutely do not understand, how someone can put so much effort into a colorful layout and than publish it in black-and-white. It looks like a cheap pirated copy!

hey guys..i am a amature programmer..i recently completed a minor project of validating a form using javascript and generating quiz questions and verifying the answers of it ...but in validation ,(observe the first image ) the problem is when i click on the submit button the function gets called and in that i wanted to use the form["field name "] object type reference passing but it didnt worked..so i used the document object and it worked smoothly.but i really wanted to use form["field name "] object. Will u help me in getting the problem solved ..what could be the reason..??

Hi, the server side is implemented using node.js, which is a server side JavaScript. It simply generates the JSON code and outputs the JSON as a response to an http request. I'll see what I can do about putting the script in the github for the book.

I like the JSONP approach to "talking to the web" in Chapter 6 of the HTML5 Programming book. It is a bit of a mystery to me how the server side is implemented. I know the JSON string is sent when a GET is requested but I would be interested in the details. Is this code available for inspection with some explanation?

Hey guys, the internet if full of ways to learn coding but there is very little in terms of video game programming. I currently am looking into programming with Java and the only thing I could find were some books about using the LWJGL. Do you guys have any suggestions as to how I could start with Java game development and become as good as, I don't know, Notch, creator of Minecraft? I am very motivated, I just need the learning resources. Thanks

I could not run the samples in Geolocation API. Do they work only if it is deployed on server? Somehow some of the examples hosted by your website were not working on FireFox as well.

There is no built-in method for writing text along a path so you have to do it yourself by rotating each letter as you write it. I can do another tutorial on that!

Thank you very much for this awesome piece of code, Elizabeth. I have a question regarding the rotation of the text on the slices. Is there any way that the text can be changed to show along the outer arc of each slice? Would really appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks, Johann
